The anxiety just before a wedding is what we are all going through. just like its been said a constitution needs the goodwill of all Kenyans for there to be meaningful change. Peace! We want peace!

So what! Lets face it people, why are we crying out now we should have seen it coming. This problem will not be resolved by talking about peace or by sponsoring some very sad adverts on the electronic media. Let us start with Justice, Truth and then reconciliation. You can not have reconciliation without Truth. Now, who should tell us the truth, and what should be the way forward after reconciliation.

If Mr. Kofi Annan is given the wrong information, then am sure his coming to Kenya is sheer waste of time. Annan should be told that its not about power sharing. Because, if that the case, then Raila should be the one sharing power with Kibaki and not vice versa.

What exactly transpired during Kufuor’s visit? Kenyans still do not understand what he came for. He never gave any statement with regard the outcome of the collapsed talks. Is he trying to hide behind diplomacy to an extent of protecting Kibaki? Maybe the outcome was alarming as to cause a ‘national security’ concern

I think its proper that future talks be open and that the outcome is communicated to Kenyans so that they can make a decision on who actually contributed to the failure or success of the process.

Still on Kofi Annan, how come he suddenly fell in on his way to Kenya? Is there something the government is trying to hide? Was he stopped from visiting Kenya and matter diplomacy?

The truth is this, Raila won the elections but Kibaki stole them. This is why Kenyans (excluding those from Central and Eastern) are so angry and not because Raila or any person instigated them. It should be noted that all the voters were above the age of 18years and therefore bona fide adults.

So the issue of trying to fool Kenyans about who won the elections is out. As much as we do not advocate for the initial violent protests, I think that’s the price some people have to pay for democracy. Lives are lost, properties are damaged but in the long run its our children we are fighting for, a better future free of tribal animosity and prejudice, a transparent Kenya with accountable leaders, a Kenya where leaders are solely responsible for their actions in and out of office.

Overstepping their mandate

As much as I do not recognize the current government and its legitimacy, I think Kibaki got it right the moment he delegated duties to his ministers. Unfortunately, the cabinet members thought that this was the time to show their opponents that they’re really in control.

It is very alarming to see, ministers giving different opinions concerning a matter that does not even belong to their ministries. Why should for instance, Bwana John Michuki be commenting on issues regarding the international mediators, when he has a full ministry to deal with.

I though Hon. I guess many Kenyans did not really understand what he meant. The Kikuyu community believes that the precidency belongs to them. When it returned to them in 2002, that was the beginning of status quo.

Moi through his calculations fronted Uhuru. I think events of last years campaign trail are beginning to click in my head. Moi actually proposed Uhuru fully aware that it will cost Kanu the presidency. Moi and Kibaki seemed to have been doing this together. Moi was made president so that he can protect GEMA. Having consistently done so during his reign I think it was time for him to return power to where it originally belonged, Central Province.

If you think Kikuyus are going to cede power then you’re dead wrong. From Kibaki the thing is going to Uhuru and then to anyone from Kibaki’s family or any other young chap from among the elite Kikuyus. If this does not go well within the government then they will front Hon. Kalonzo just the same way they did to Moi. You’re the president but serving particular political interests.

Do not be surprised come 2013 and Kalonzo is the fourth president of the republic of Kenya even after overwhelmingly voted for a different candidate. Anything is possible. And that is just how it is. Kalonzo will then go on to become the puppet of the Kikuyus and play to their music for one term or as they deem fit, after which they will take it back.

You better start living with it. GEMA communities will never allow any one to be president especially a Luo. The reason is what am yet to figure out but hey just give me a few more time and I will have thoroughly analyzed it.

This is the status quo Raila was talking about, that no Kenyan from any other tribe apart from GEMA will ever be president. Why are people not addressing these critical ethnic issues? We are meant to believe that we are the ‘oasis of peace’ in Africa. Kenya has been burning from the inside. What we have seen during the post election skirmishes is just a tip of the ice berg. We will forever fight in Kenya and among ourselves so the issue of ‘oasis of peace’ is out.

As long we have the same constitutional order, nothing much will change in Kenya. There will be more and more killings, especially as a result of tribal affiliations. Call it ethnic cleansing and that’s what it is. The majimbo PNU was campaigning hard against is self manifest in Kenya today by the same people who campaigned strongly against it.

As long as Kenyans are denied their rights there will be no calm whatsoever.

Demystifiy the Presidency and Spare Kenya

Over the past few weeks Kenya has been on the world news again. Not for good news this time but the worst that can be said about a growing democracy. Up until Dec 27th 2007, Kenya was seen as an example of how Democracy at work in Africa or we thought so.

Enter Mr. Kibaki and all those democratic gains are eroded in split second. After a minute of being declared the winner, what do you see on TV? Chaos (violent protests) erupt everywhere in the country except Central and Eastern Province.

The illegitimate government tries to make it look more like a Luo thing but they're wrong again. This time its not your usual protests human life is at stake here. So again enter Dr. Mutua, with his usual boyish look perfect for a school captain (Kitui Boys high school). He does not seem to see anything wrong in Kenya anyway i understand because to him State House is equal to Kenya, anywhere else is foreign. Anyway the boy comes with his usual communique from the now illegitimate government.

Why am I saying all this. Up to this moment no one seems to really understand the problem. The world is made to believe that Raila's supporters are protesting about the lost election. When the real issue is Raila actually won but then Kibaki ran away with the certificate only to use it to be sworn in as the President of Kenya.

Look my fellow Kenyans, as much as we want to preach peace, let look deeper into the cause of all this problems. It not about power sharing or just Kibaki reaching out to Raila and voila end of violence!

This is about a stolen election which has triggered long harboured feeling of hatred towards each other. We've always been tribal and am sorry we have never addressed this issue, to me this is the best time to address. Radio stations and all those paid up adverts should instead be campaigning against tribalism by actually stating the word as it is so that it sinks into our heads that we are actually practising tribalism and not post election violence as some think it is.

I have been keenly following news for the past few weeks and I cant help but notice how deep the problem is. All I have seen and heard is that there are thousands of Kenyans (read Kikuyus) displaced and stranded in Eldoret. The illegitimate government has done all it can to get them out of danger including sending military trucks and choppers to get them out of the violent hit areas.

To be very honest what is going on now is as a result of the problems created by our so called founding fathers of the nation. This should come as something new to anyone. Kenyatta rode on the same divide and rule system employed by the colonial government. He was an elitist president. He and a bunch of his advisers made Kikuyus believe that they are Kenya and Kenya is Kikuyu. Right now they are trying to hold on to power that was snatched but kept for them by the former President Moi. They were also made to believe that no one can rule them more especially a Luo. Anyway am just airing out my opinions the way i have analyzed issues.

Now this is crazy stuff am writing up here. This can put me in a dangerous position in Kenya but am ready to burn with it. Anyway as much as we want peace, we want a lasting solution. Its not about Raila and Kibaki as many of you think. Most of us just want things to be like before which is wrong. We are starting a new chapter in our Kenyan History so the issue of normalcy is out of question. Let build a new Kenya. Our attitudes are still the same even as we try and preach the so called peace.

The only way out is by having a new constitutional order which will cut down on the powers of the Presidency. This will ensure that the President is demystified. At the moment the President of Kenya is everything. He can not be held accountable of his actions by any human being withing the republic, hence the pride of his tribe. So am calling upon our dear 10th Parliament to save Kenya and enact some critical reforms in the country starting with of the presidency.

Anyway whichever way you look at it. That my take.
